CPS tried to take Northern Michigan client’s teenage children because client resisted government intrusion. The kids were cared for, fed, in school, and housed, but despite all of that, and despite there being no semblance of any emergency need, CPS wanted to take the kids from their father and put them into foster care. After two hearings fiercely contested by Attorney Horowitz, the family court referee bravely made the correct decision to keep the family together. The story doesn't end here, but for now client and his family can breathe a little easier.
